shopping on-line, reading the articles & plane specifications. Keep in mind, these people are trying to sell
you their merchandise, and no amount of article reading can replace experience. Go to the local flying field
& ask pilots for their recommendations and advise. The thing model pilots like to do more than fly itself is
share experience, wisdom, and OPINION.

long as you operate your model within their guidelines and are a member they will insure you and/or your plane.
Insuring your plane may not seem like something that is really needed until you realize that the average .40 size
plane (the most popular size) weighs about 5 lbs, cruises about 70 mph (but can be much faster) and has a prop
spinning about 20,000 rpm. These may look like toys but can be very dangerous machines. If flown in an unsafe
manner can destroy property, seriously injure or kill someone
